Shui Mo Gallery, Dreams - FionaFei

The Shui Mo Gallery is an art installation created in the style of Chinese ink brush (ShuǐMò) painting by FionaFei Resident, and for me one of the wonders of Second Life. Please read on to see why I rate it so highly.

The landing point places you at one end of an impressive long high ceilinged corridor, lined on either side with what at first glance looks like traditional Chinese Ink Brush paintings

However, closer inspection reveals the delightful pictures to be in 3D

Some of the pictures have animated features too, Koi swim among the water lilies, and butterflies flit among the flowers.

Walking up over the scrolls along the corridor admiring the art you find yourself in front of imposing giant red doors and it is after you have gone through them that the full wonder of the Gallery is revealed. You are within the 3D paintings, you can walk over the bridges, enter the buildings etc.

I can wax lyrical about it, but you really have to experience it firsthand to fully appreciate the effect.
